The Institute of Massage and Sports Therapy Ltd was founded in 1998 with the aim of providing Internationally recognised qualifications in Sports Therapy.
They have been providing the highest level of professional training for Sports Therapists for over 15 years from their Limerick and Galway venues and they are delighted to announce the opening of their newest venue in Ormonde College in Kilkenny with their Sports Taping & Strapping Workshop running on July 5 and 6.
“Kilkenny is such a vibrant and dynamic city with such a strong sporting history and we are delighted to be able to offer our part-time sports injury courses and workshops here.” says Rachel McCarthy, Programme Director of the Institute.
They are one of the few ITEC colleges in Ireland that are a specialist college, in that they only offer courses and workshops that deal with Sports Massage and injury treatments. It is their area of expertise and passion. They have now developed part-time weekend courses which deal with all aspects of sports therapy, including anatomy and physiology, deep tissue massage, assessment techniques, advanced sports massage treatment techniques, trigger pointing, sports rehabilitation, ultrasound, sports nutrition, dry needling and kinesio taping etc.
Open Information meeting on Saturday 5th July 5.30-7.30pm Ormonde College. All welcome.
