final-Scoil Ruadháin won the Educational Supplies Roinn D hurling final on Saturday last by beating Galmoy national school on a scoreline Tullaroan 4-9 Galmoy 1-7. Tullaroan played against the breeze in the first half and at the break were winning by four points, Tullaroan 3-4 Galmoy 1-6. With the aid of the breeze in the second half Tullaroan played some excellent hurling and held out for a great victory.
This was a great team performance with all involved contributing to seal the victory for the school.

U14 Hurling-The U14 team had a good win over Slieverue at the Tullaroan sportsgrounds on Monday evening of last week, Tullaroan 3-17 Slieverue 2-14. Tullaroan started well and built up an early lead but Slieverue fought back and drew level with Tullaroan entering the closing stages. Tullaroan finished strongly with Dylan Sympson getting some great scores from placed balls.

Camogie-The Tullaroan camogie club would like to say a sincere thanks to all who supported their very successful cabaret held at Connolly’s Lounge, The Village on Friday last.
Self Help Africa-A big thanks to all who contributed to the Church Gate Collection held last weekend, €279.38 was raised for Self Help Africa.
Sponsored Walk-The Tullaroan parents association are holding a sponsored walk on Tuesday 26th June at 7pm. The walk will commence at Scoil Ruadháin around by Lates via the Tullaroan cemetery, passing the Lory Meagher Centre, the sports grounds and then back to the school.All funds raised by the children will go towards improvements in the school. If possible you are asked to avoid the route between 7pm and 8pm on the evening of the walk.
Tullaroan Water Scheme-The lines on the Tullaroan water scheme will be flushed out between the hours of 8pm and 11pm on Thursday 21st and Friday 22nd June. Some of the lines will be turned off during this time. You are asked not to use washing machines or dishwashers during these hours. swimming gala-Scoil Ruadháin Do Very Well at Swimming Gala. 9 boys and 16 girls from Tullaroan N.S. took part in the Primary Schools’ Swimming Gala, which was held in the Watershed on Thursday 14th June, 2012.
For the second year in a row, the girls’ team won the overall prize for Best Girls’ team (Country Schools’ Category), winning 6 gold medals, 3 silver and 1 bronze. The boys’ team finished third, winning 4 medals.
Congratulations to all the children who participated in the Gala and sincere thanks to their coaches, Ms. Sonya Lanigan and Mr. Eddie Hoyne.
Ravens Rock Car Rally-On Sunday 24th June the Ravens Rock Car Rally will be in the Tullaroan area. Roads in the following areas will be closed from 8.30am to 5.30pm, Ballinamara, Gaulstown, Wallstown, Upper Tullaroan, Rathealy, Knocknamuck, Kilaghy, Cold Harbour, Canverstown, Courtstown, Kyle, Oldtown and Huntstown. Whist Drive-A whist drive will be held on Friday 22nd June at 9pm in the Tullaroan community centre. Proceeds will go to Enable Ireland - The O’Neill Centre. All are welcome.

Hurlers Coop Draw-A big thanks to all from the Parish who contributed to the Hurlers Co-op draw.
Corpus Christi Procession-The annual Corpus Christi procession will take place on Sunday 24th June commencing at St. John’s Church, Dublin Road, Kilkenny at 2.30pm and will proceed through the city to St. Mary’s Cathedral to arrive approximately one hour later.
Aylward Cup-The Tullaroan senior hurling team went under to Dicksboro in the Aylward Cup held at the Tullaroan sports grounds last week.
