Second win for Seniors-St. Martins collected their second win of the Senior Hurling League against Danesfort in Nowlan Park. Last years Intermediate Champions had the best of the first half and lead at the break 1-6 to 0-4. Martins upped their game in the second half and collected their second win. Martins goal came with five minutes to go when a long range free from John Maher went all the way to the net that may have taken a deflection from Brian Mulhall . Next week it is back to same venue to play Ballyhale Shamrocks.

BROW RANGERS A.C. -The first day of the kilkenny county championships was held in scanlon park and brow rangers won 12 medals. Eadoin coady was 3rd in the u10 ball throw while kate cullen came 1st in the u11 girls ball throw. Roisin coady came 2nd in the u14 javelin and emma kelly was 2nd in the u13 javelin.
In the boys u14 discus matthew cullen was 2nd and patrick darcy was 3rd. In the boys u15 discus ciaran coady was 2nd and adam kelly was 3rd. John joe kelly was 1st in the u16 discus and tommy quirke was 3rd. John joe also came 2nd in the hurdles and 3rd in the high jump. Also taking part were Ellie duggan, Conor B. kelly, darcy hutchinson, therese kelly, shauna coady, oisin kelly, aoife coady, grainne kelly, siobhan coady, conor T. kelly and cliona quirke.
Cemetery Mass-The annual cemetery Mass in Mothel will be celebrated on Friday 1st June at 7.30pm.
First Holy Communion-Pupils of Muckalee N.S. will receive their First Holy Communion in St. Joseph’s Church, Ballyfoyle next Sunday, 21st May at 11 am. Mass.
To facilitate family members and relatives travelling for the occassion regular Mass times are switched so that Mass will be celebrated in Muckalee at 9.45 am. on the Sunday morning.
