COLLECTION - The collection for Mill Cemetery upkeep will be taken up at the church gate before Mass on Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 May. The old lawnmower was giving a lot of trouble so a new had to be purchased which cost E3,500. The committee would appreciate very much a generous contribution to help to defray the cost of the mower.

GAA - Emeralds play Young Ireland’s of Gowran in John’s Park at 3.30pm on Saturday, May 19. This is the last game until July 15 when they play Conahy Shamrocks in Freshford. Please support your team on Saturday who beat Ballyragget last Saturday by one point.
TENNIS - CM Community Tennis will hold their AGM tonight (Wednesday) in Colaiste Mhuire at 8pm. All members are asked to attend. New members welcome.
OSSORY PREPARES - An information evening for all planning to attend the Eucharistic Congress and/or Statio Orbis will be held on Thursday, May 17 at St Fiacre’s Parish Centre at 7.30pm. It is hoped that the tickets for Croke Park will be available for distribution at this gathering. Therefore it is important that parishes are present to collect their tickets.

SHOW - Ossory Agricultural Show Society Co Ltd held their AGM on Monday, April 16 at their new meeting rooms at the showgrounds. Show chairman welcomed everyone to the meeting. Secretary read out the minutes from last year ‘s AGM, signed and seconded. There was a good attendance. Treasurer Irene Newman gave a good finance report . Chairman report: He thanked secretary’s, treasurers, PRO, Midland Radio 103, judges, stewards, committee. It was very important that they had sponsors as without them the show would not take place, so thanks you to all and to anyone that helped out before the show on showday.
