St. Anne’s Camogie Club -. The Roinn C County Final took place in Tullaroan on Sun Sept 23th between St Anne’s and Ballycallan. Both teams raised their games from the start. There was very little between them but a great score by Marie Doheny put Ballycallan ahead at the interval. A late rally from St Annes in the second half put the team back in a very strong position. Special mention to Niamh Sweeney who gave and exhibition of play. Siobhan Corcoran, Mary Corcoran, Ellen Fitzpatrick, Chloe Purcell and Marian OConnell were outstanding . Aoife Sweeney in the goal made numerous saves. The last 15 minutes will live in the memory for a long time but at the full time whistle Ballycallan emerged the winners by three points. All the team played their part in a brilliant game but unfortunately there has to be losers as well as winners. Scorers for St. Annes Marion OConnell(1-0) Sarah Whelan (0-2) Mary Coraoran (0-3) Chloe Purcell (0-1) Siobhan Corcoran(0-4)Many thanks to all our supporters , the support we had in Tullaroan was trememdous and much appreciated by all the players
