CONGRATULATIONS - ‘I’m here now‘ is maybe what baby Katie Elliott will be saying to her twin sister (if she could) when she joined her 87 days after her twin Amy was born.

In the best of news stories, the Elliott twins from Kilmackevogue, Glenmore are safe and secure in the arms of thier parents Maria and Chris and sister Olivia and brother Jack.

Taking an early leap into the world Amy arrived early and with the very best of hospital care in Waterford Regional Hospital she is stronger by the day. When Katie joined the Elliott family their lives while very very busy, family life settled down to normality. Many congratulations to Chris and Maria and both sets of grandparents, siblings and extended families.

CAMOGIE - Best of luck to the Glenmore Feile na nGael camogie team in the county final which will be played in the coming few days, date, venue and time and opposition not known as of going to press. On the path to the final the girls played and won against St. Fiacra’s, Piltown and Danesfort.Goog luck girls and mentors and trainers.

SYMPATHY - Sympathy is extended to Nell Doherty and family of Forristalstown, Glenmore on the death of her brother Jim Merrigan, formerly of Miltown, Glenmore and Fethard-on-sea, Co Wexford. Also to his many nieces, nephews and his two sisters and their families. May he rest in peace.

FASHION SHOW - The CBS secondary school in New Ross are holding a fashion show in the Brandon House Hotel, New Ross at 8pm on Tuesday next May 7 and all support would be much appreciated.

BAPTISED - Welcomed into the christian community was Hannah Aylward, daughter of Ollie and Ann Aylward (nee Butler) of Moulerstown who was baptised in the church of St James, Glenmore recently.

TEA DAY - The Alzheimer’s Tea Day will be taking place in Glenmore hall on Thursday, May 9 from 10am to 12 noon and your support for this fundraiser would be very much appreciated.

FIRST AID - The Glenmore playschool is facilitating a premier first aid course in occupational first aid. It will be run over two half days and two full days and the cost is €170 per person. If you would like more details and to book a place on the course please contact Bernie at 086 8228303 and the course is open to individualss, groups or clubs and you are asked to note that places are limited.

COMMUNITY ALERT - The Glenmore Community Alert group urge parishioners to take precautions when leaving their homes unattended and also to be extra vigilant about leaving items on view in their cars, when attending mass and in general practice. This is following break ins at recent funerals. If you would like to be included in text alerts( passing on of information around the area) please contact 085 8638344 or you can pick up a form at Noeleen’s shop.
