U-21 CHAMPIONSHIP REPLAY Club supporters have had little to cheer about over the last few weeks of the playing season, but all that changed on Saturday afternoon in Jenkinstown when the club’s U-21 team pulled off a great victory, in dramatic style, when beating neighbours Dicksboro, 1-13 to 1-11 with virtually the last puck of the game. Once again, this was a huge team effort, and credit must go to the team management led by Michael Tyrrell who succeeded in instilling an unswerving “ Is feideir Linn” belief in the players to overcome seemingly greater odds. Naturally, supporters were over joyed with the club’s first victory at U-21 level in five years, but tempered in the knowledge that next weekend’s encounter with Erin’s Own will be an equally difficult task.
