As part of its 25th anniversary celebrations, Castlecomer Community School will hold a dog night on Friday, April 27 at 8pm in Kilkenny Greyhound Stadium.
The aim of the night is to raise money for the extra curricular funds of the school and also in aid of the school’s Capital Development Plan. Phase one of this plan was completed in 2010 with the total reconstruction of the top pitch.
The school is hoping to commence phases two and three in 2012 and 2013, which include the reconstruction of the bottom pitch and running track, and also the construction of new dressing rooms.
Castlecomer Community School is committed to providing the best possible facilities for its students and the people of North Kilkenny. Each year, the school strives to improve its existing facilities, and this year’s fundraiser is vital to this continuous upgrading.
The school’s last dog night was held in 2008, and a bumper crowd attended. It was fantastic to see so many past and present students supporting the school.
This year, the dog night coincides with the final of the famous McCalmont Cup Final and a great night is guaranteed. We hope to see as many past and present faces in attendance again this year to help the school celebrate its 25th year in North Kilkenny.
