SINCERE SYMPATHY - The death has taken place of Mrs Phyllis Phelan (nee Burke), The Old Road, Urlingford. She belonged to a highly respected family and was held in the highest esteem. A lovely quiet lady, she always had a great smile for everyone she met. She will be sadly missed by her children, grandchildren, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law. This bore testimony to the large attendance at the removal of the Remains from her residence to Church of the Assumption, Urlingford lead by a lone piper and after Requiem Mass burial took place in Johnstown Cemetery.

CONFIRMATION - The ceremony of Confirmation will be conferred on the fifth and sixth class children on Saturday, February 9 at 11.30am. As part of our preparation for this sacrament we will celebrate the ‘Ceremony of Light’ which symbolises the handing-on of the faith from the Parents to the children. This will take place in Graine Church on Monday, February 4 at 7.30pm.
THE FATIMA APOSTOLATE THURLES - Are holding a ‘Three Hour Vigil’ in Honour of Our Lady of Lourdes in the Pallotine Chapel, Thurles on Monday, February 11 commencing at 7.30pm. The vigil will be conducted by Fr Pat Deely and Eddie Stone. It will conclude with Holy Mass. All are welcome.
