LEINSTIR CHAMPIONS - Well done to all the Lisdowney lads who were involved in the Colaiste Mhuire Junior Team who beat St Fergals of Rathdowney in the Leinstir Final last Saturday in Nowlan Park. This was a thrilling match which like the previous week went to extra time, but unlike the previous week it was Johnstown who came up trumps on a full time score of 2:9 to 13 points. Team included Jack Dunphy (captain), Paul Cos, Dean McCann, Brian Kavanagh, Liam Dunphy, John Brennan and Willie Kenny.

KEEP WALKING - From Clontubrid Car park on Monday and Thursday mornings at 9.00am then Tuesday and Friday evening at 6.30pm. Please call 086 1985251 and let us know what times would suit you, if you wish to walk with us but the times dont suit. The Parent’s Council of Scoil Naomh Fiachra are looking for volunteers to do the mini Marathon in June, but this walking is open to all people who would like to get together and walk. In a few weeks we will start the Couch to 5K programme for those who wish to do it.

FIRST PENANCE - Children from the parish will celebrate their first penance in Lisdowney church on Tuesday 5th March

FIRST COMMUNION - Dates for First Holy Communion in the parish this year are Saturday 11th May in Clontubrid, and Saturday 18th May in Lisdowney.

ADORATION - Adoration will be held every Friday in Lent from 7 pm in Lisdowney Church, followed by Mass at 7.30 pm.

FIRST FRIDAY - Usual visitation of the sick will take place. Please contact the Parish Priest if you know of anyone who would like him to call.

REFLECTION - A Lenten journey with the Sunday Gospels continues in Castlecomer on 27th February, 7th and 14th March from 7.30 to 8.30pm in Castlecomer Community Hall.
