Castlecomer auctioneer Joe Coogan leased 76.5 acres of agricultural land in three individual lots, last Friday, December 9, at a very well attended auction with many bidders, at the Auction Room Ballycomey Castlecomer.
Lot 1: 19.5 acres situated at Drumerhin Ballyfoyle Co Kilkenny leased for €510 per acre per year.
Lot 2: 22. Acres situated at Drumerhin Ballyfoyle Co Kilkenny leased for €450 per acre per year.
Lot 3: 35 acres situated at Knockmajor Muckalee Co Kilkenny was making €360 per acre per year. This lot was withdrawn from public auction and sale was agreed for a higher figure later in the evening.
The lands are of good grazing quality, ideally suitable for hay/silage.
All lots had no entitlements or farm buildings.
The lands in Drumerhin Ballyfoyle had water supply, but the land in Knockmajor Muckalee had no water supply.
Joe Coogan Auctioneer has a considerable amount of lands coming up for leasing in early 2023.
