Limerick City and County Council has confirmed plans are being finalised to show Sunday's All-Ireland hurling final between Limerick and Kilkenny on a big screen at O'Connell Street in the heart of Limerick City.

It follows the very popular public broadcast last year. Should Kilkenny be doing something similar?

Big screens have been used here to show replays of matches as well as live entertainment for both camogie and hurling homecoming events in Kilkenny in recent years.

Details of Kilkenny's homecoming next week are expected to be announced very soon.
