Good wishes have flooded for Lee Delaney and his wife Emily O’Dwyer who got hitched Tuscany on Wednesday.
The news, which caught many friends and family off guard, has been greeted with total joy locally as the long-term couple begin a new chapter in their lives.
Delaney, who has been a mainstay in the successful Evergreen team who have won nine league titles in a row, shared the news in a joint social media post with Emily on Thursday.
“Best kept secret,” the post read.
“Huge congratulations to our A team captain Lee Delaney and his new wife Emily O’Dwyer as they only went and eloped!,” Evergreen FC posted online.
