The Pumpkin festival welcomed just over 5,000 people on its first weekend and is expected to exceed 15,000 people over the course of the seven days.

This festival is a joint effort between Hughes Farming owned by Julian Hughes and Sonix Entertainment owned by Glenn Tector.

“We believe we are Ireland's largest pumpkin patch by volume of pumpkins sold and the number of attendees expected to attend the pumpkin festival,” said Julian Hughes.

“We are the best value pumpkin patch in Ireland, absorbing the additional extra costs this year, keeping prices of pumpkins and services the same as 2021, despite a 40% increase in cost since 2021. Tickets are €5, which covers free activities and pumpkins are not included but you can pick your own pumpkin and pay on exit, ranging from €3 - €6,” he added.

Free activities include photo opportunities, pumpkin wagon usage, art tent, toddler soft play area, toddler hay maze, mini diggers, swings and complimentary car parking and covered seating areas.

There are some paid activities on site including food, facepainting and amusements, run by the only female amusement owner in Ireland, Amy Duffy hailing from the well-known Duffy Circus/Duffy Family.

All food onsite is local, using local suppliers from Callan Premium Food and The Cookie Co-Op.

Hughes Farming Pumpkin Festival is on every Saturday, Sunday, and Bank Holiday Monday from October 14 to 30. Limited tickets are remaining across all dates. General Admission Tickets* are €5 pp from Eventbrite.
