Fonsie Mealy Auctioneers will be hosting a ‘Highly Important Rare Book & Collector’s Sale’.
The sale will be taking place at their Auction Rooms in Castlecomer on December 12 and 13.
The sale will contain many items of importance including a wide variety of GAA medals and other Sporting memorabilia such as All-Ireland & Croke Cup Hurling Champions 1898 Medal and a Bloody Sunday Match ticket as well as programmes, photographs and other rare collector’s items.
Other items include important 1916 documents such as a rare copy of Irish War News, a collection of Irish literature and a lock of Oscar Wilde’s hair which was previously owned by Vyvyan Holland (Wilde’s son) which was subsequently gifted to Michael Mac Liammoir.
The Sale has approx. 1100 lots, with a diverse range of items on offer.
