Pictures by Alf Harvey

A large crowd gathered for the annual Mass at Ladywell on Tuesday afternoon last week.

Well over 100 worshippers travelled from around the region, including Ballyouskill, Ballyragget, Freshford, neighbouring Laois and beyond.

Bishop of Ossory Niall Coll was the chief officiant.

Ladywell is situated outside of the town of Durrow and about 90km into County Kilkenny, in the diocese of Ossory. At the site there is both a holy well and a shrine to the Blessed Virgin Mary.

The annual Mass is always a well-attended event, and this year was no different.
