Kilkenny's Stevie Mulrooney, singer of Ireland's Call at the recent Irish rugby Six Nations game, was the atar of the show at this week's press and programme launch of the Thomas Francis Meagher Tricolour Celebrations.

The event took place in the Granville Hotel in Waterford. Stevie again stole the show as he posed for photographs with family members, and anyone else that saw him there who requested pictures.

Waterford is set to host the Thomas Francis Meagher 176th Tricolour Celebration from March 1 to March 3, 2024. The three-day event commemorates the flying of the Irish Tricolour for the first time in 1848 as a symbol of peace and reconciliation by
Thomas Francis Meagher.
Celebrations mark the life and legacy of Thomas Francis Meagher, an Irish and American patriot who played a pivotal role in Ireland’s struggle for independence.
The 2024 programme, proudly supported by Patron Daniel Mulhall, former Irish Ambassador to the United States, United Kingdom, Germany and Malaysia, promises an exciting array of events that pay homage to the life and legacy of Thomas Francis Meagher, and honour the 176th anniversary of first flying of the Irish Tricolour flag and its rich history.
Stevie will be performing at the Gala Dinner on Saturday, March 2 and you can also join him and his family on Sunday, March 3 as Ireland marks the 176th anniversary of the first raising of the Tricolour in Waterford.
