Kevin Phelan from Gowran, suffered a life changing injury in December 2023, when unloading lime from a tanker as part of his normal everyday duties. It resulted in him losing sight in both eyes.
Since then, local people have rallied behind Kevin showing their kindness and generosity by setting up a Go Fund Me Page and carrying out other kind gestures.
