The Castle Park was home to an army of athletes as Kilkenny Triathlon Club hosted their triathlon on Sunday.
The annual event took participants through a swim in the River Nore and a 20km cycle on county roads before finishing with a 5km run, this year on a new course.
The day was a huge success, with the club thanking everyone who took part.

"With the weather on our side it was amazing to watch 290 competitors make their way to the swim start at John’s Bridge," said club chairman Martin Walsh. "The city came alive for the event, while all competitors crossed the finish line in the beautiful Castle Park with smiles on their faces.
"Our triathlon was a huge success," he added. "People are already talking about coming back in 2026."
