Down Syndrome Kilkenny held their annual Christmas party at the Rivercourt Hotel, with over 100 attendees joining the festive celebrations.

Santa Clause and his two elves made a surprise visit to the event, distributing presents to the delighted children. Children also wrote their own letters for Santa and even got to post them in a special magic post-box!

A great time was had by all with dinner, karaoke performances, hot chocolate stations and some dancing along to DJ Tina. A sensory play area was also available for younger children.

Kilkenny's No Name Club gave their support on the day by ensuring the children's safety as well as joining in on the fun!

Chairperson of Down Syndrome Kilkenny, Fiona Heffernan, said: "The volunteers from the No Name Club, have been invaluable to Down Syndrome Kilkenny, we couldn’t run these events so successfully without them."

She also thanked local Kilkenny businesses "for their generous donations of spot prizes for the raffle, which made the day even more memorable."

The committee also thanked the Kilkenny community for all their support throughout the year.
