Today the Kilkenny Chamber of Commerce launched its flagship event for 2023 – the Kilkenny Business Awards. The awards ceremony will be held on Saturday November 25 in Lyrath Estate Hotel.
Open to all businesses operating in Kilkenny City and County, the nomination process was officially announced by Cathal Smyth, Managing Director, Chief Administrative Officer, State Street Global Services Ireland, at an event hosted by Kilkenny Chamber at the Butler Gallery. This will be the fifth year for State Street as the main sponsor to the Kilkenny Business Awards.
At the launch President of the Kilkenny Chamber Brian Keyes urged businesses to start nominating and also announced the addition of two new award categories this year.
"Many thanks to Butler Gallery, State Street and all the category sponsors. I am delighed to annouce for the first time the Sustainability Initiative Award and Volunteer Engagement Award will be added to the prestigious list. There is also the addition of the new Special Recognition Award in 2023." said Brian Keyes.
As well as the category awards there is the traditional Lifetime Achievement Award, the President’s Award, and the Overall Business of the Year Award.
2022's Overall Business of the Year was won by the Family Business Award Hi Tec Medicare. This is the second year in a row that the Family Business winner went on to win the Overall Award.
Kilkenny Chamber is now calling upon individuals and enterprises across Kilkenny to nominate businesses for up to three of the 20 prestigious awards.
