Green Party councillor Maria Dollard claimed her nerves remained steady throughout the weekend despite fears she may narrowly miss out on election.
"Once the ballots have been cast by the public it's out of my hands so I don't really get too worked up about things like that, whatever is to be will be," she said.

"It's democracy, the public make their mind up," Cllr Dollard added.
Cllr Dollard held onto the seat her city seat in which she was co-opted after the Dáil election of Malcolm Noonan and will be the Green Party's only council representative now. Her final poll was 891 after Count 15.
