There was a great turnout recently at the Mayfair Library in Kilkenny City for the opening of ‘SCAPES’, the latest exhibition by acclaimed Kilkenny artist William Grace.
The exhibition showcases a new collection of paintings inspired by both the urban and rural landscape, reflecting the artist's long-standing fascination with the changing environment, light and tone. The last chance to view the exhibition is Thursday, July 16.
Grace's work explores both familiar streetscapes and natural settings, with his paintings balancing realistic depictions of places alongside carefully composed abstract elements.
His distinctive use of colour and energetic application of paint has become a hallmark of his style.
Over the course of his career, Grace has exhibited throughout Ireland and Europe.
His work has also found homes in private collections across Ireland, Great Britain, Australia, the United States, South Africa and mainland Europe.
