Waterways Ireland has resubmitted planning applications to Carlow, Kildare and Laois County Councils for the development of the towpath of the Barrow Navigation.
The plans seek to develop a 115km multi-use shared leisure route on the existing navigation towpath.
Approximately 52km of the route is in Carlow. The applications are available to view at the county council offices during normal opening hours.
