Cryptic videos from the Oasis went viral this week

Oasis fans have been sitting on the edge of their seats after several cryptic clues were posted by the band on social media this week.

Die hard fans of the Mancunian band are forever hoping a reunion is on the cards after they abruptly disbanded in 2009 following Noel Gallagher's departure.

On Monday, their official account posted a video of the studio where there first recorded the critically acclaimed album Definitely Maybe that was originally released in 1994.

Fans started to speculate asking questions such as, "They're back together?", and "What does this mean?"

On Tuesday, another cryptic video was posted of archival clips of the ban with a voiceover speaking about the album Definitely Maybe, with a similar post being posted on Wednesday.

Fans went into overdrive with comments such as "Tell us what's happening" and "You're breaking our hearts".

Finally on Thursday morning, fans were put out of their misery and hopes were squashed as the band posted the following post with the caption,

"‘Definitely Maybe’ - Deluxe 30th Anniversary Editions Featuring unheard Monnow Valley versions and Sawmills Studios outtakes. Available on deluxe 4LP, 2CD, coloured vinyl, cassette and digitally with new artwork and sleeve notes. Released 30th August. Pre-order now"

Fans were left almost bereft as frustrated comments were left under the video, such as, "All that for that?", "Well, now there's an anticlimax" and "Heartbroken".
