With a whole host of Irish and European premieres, new and developing work was at the core of the programme, from the European premiere of INO’s production of Emma O’Halloran’s Trade/Mary Motorhead, to the Irish premiere of Jóhann Jóhannsson’s Drone Mass from Chamber Choir Ireland and Crash Ensemble, and including new work from Errolyn Wallen, Rough Magic and Peter Hanly, Paul Muldoon, Martina Evans, Caimin Gilmore, Niall Vallely, Brú Theatre and Branar Theatre.

"From the community of Kilkenny and it’s surrounds, to the community of amazing artists that we’re lucky enough to work with, to the tens of thousands of audience members that support the Festival year in, year out – a huge and heartfelt thank you," said a festival spokesperson.

"We’ve been busy behind the scenes pulling together the strings for the 2025 Festival and have some very exciting announcements coming your way in early 2025, so stay tuned here or across our social media.

"Join us from August 7-17, 2025 for the 52nd edition of Ireland's longest running multi-disciplinary arts festival, for 11 days of

arts adventures in Ireland's Medieval city. And in the meantime, wishing you all a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year!," added the spokesperson.

Kilkenny Arts Festival is proudly supported by the Arts Council, Fáilte Ireland and Kilkenny County Council.
