Dancer Clodagh Murphy
Kilkenny's Watergate Theatre will be hosting a concert to raise funds for an aspiring Kilkenny dancer set to attend college in London. The concert will take place on Friday, June 20 at 7:30pm.
18-year-old Clodagh Murphy is a dancer, singer and performer from Kilmoganny, and has been awarded a place at the prestigious Laine Theatre Arts in London. Clodagh is the first person from Kilkenny to ever attend the college.
Clodagh's love of dancing began when she was ten years old, after attending Kilkenny's St. Patrick's Day parade and being captivated by children who were performing ballroom dancing.

In the eight years since she began performing, Clodagh has enjoyed some major successes in her flourishing career. Clodagh was the first person from Kilkenny to join the Irish National Youth Ballet and the Morea Senior associates programme, and has competed as an independent entry in multiple dance competitions across the country.
Clodagh is also a two-time Industry dance award winner, and won the 2025 5678 All Ireland Champ of Champs Award. In October of last year, she was crowned the advanced Universal Dance Champion, and won a fully funded trip to New York to train at the Broadway Dance Center.
Tickets for Clodagh's Watergate performance are now on sale. General admission is €18. Tickets can be purchased online.
