Rebecca Reynolds, Development Director at Butler Gallery, thanked Rudolf Heltzel for supporting Butler Gallery and helping to raise vital funds for its exciting 2023 programme of activity.
“Christopher Heltzel from Rudolf Heltzel made this stunning, bespoke pendant for our Christmas Prize Draw which is valued at €1,400," said Ms Reynolds.
"All information about the pendant, including a video of the making of the piece along with images, are on our website where you can also buy tickets. We are so grateful to the team at Rudolf Heltzel for helping to raise funds for the gallery in this way for the second year running."
Speaking about the partnership Christopher Heltzel said: “We were delighted to design and create this magnificent and unique piece of fine jewellery to support Butler Gallery again this year. Rudolf Heltzel has always been a supporter of the gallery and this year we wanted to make something special to continue that legacy.
“We encourage everyone to purchase a €10 ticket for a chance of owning this very special sterling silver pendant set with rock crystal, valued at €1,400.It’s a worthy cause, helping to support one of Kilkenny's iconic, free cultural attractions. What an amazing present to give to yourself or to gift to a loved one,” he said.
A Rudolf Heltzel philosophy when designing is to be highly aware of the functionality of the work, ensuring that in spite of the ambition and complexity of the pieces the designs always intend to complement the wearer. Through taking a sculptural approach to his work, Rudolf Heltzel was a master at creating art in jewellery and this philosophy is evident in the pieces produced by Christopher Heltzel today.
