The Kilkenny City Harriers athlete finished strong in a time of 53.99 as she trailed eventual winner Sophie Becker and Rachel McCann.

Becker stayed strong down the home straight to defend her women’s 400m title, crossing the line in 52.87. The Raheny athlete has showed a remarkable return to race sharpness following a recent injury to make it three national 400m titles in the last four years.
Manning previously won the 400m National Senior Championship back in 2017 when she shocked all her rivals by taking the lead from the gun at only 22 years of age just a week after representing Ireland at the European u23s.
