Laois Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals has appealed for rabbit hutches to house ‘dumped’ rabbits.
The animal welfare charity says four rabbits “dumped in a bag beside the river in Mountmellick”.
They now need two outdoor rabbit hutches for the rabbits which were found.
Laois SPCA said two of the rabbits are male and two are female.
