Jobs boost for neighbouring Carlow as building firm opens new manufacturing facility

NUA Manufacturing, a subsidiary of Glenveagh Properties, has officially opened the new facility at the site of the former Braun factory at O’Brien Road in Carlow.

Around 200 jobs have been created in County Carlow with the opening of a new manufacturing site by Glenveagh Properties.

NUA Manufacturing, a subsidiary of Glenveagh Properties, has officially opened the new facility at the site of the former Braun factory at O’Brien Road in Carlow.

The state-of-the art timber frame and steel frame manufacturing facility will enable the building firm to increase its delivery capability and accelerate the supply of new homes. 

To mark the official opening on Saturday, the company hosted a a careers day which was fully subscribed.

Commenting at the opening, John McLoughlin, director of NUA Manufacturing, said Carlow is the perfect location for the new facility. 

“It's really accessible. It's got fantastic access to the motorway, it’s got a really good college and fantastic local authority who were really driven and passionate,” he said.
