'You could also be liable to €150 of a fine,' gardaí issue warning over this offence

If you step out of your car and the ground is painted blue - unless you have a permit you are taking up a space for someone who could benefit from it.

"You could also be liable to €150 of a fine," gardaí have warned after a driver (pictured above) was caught in neighbouring Tipperary recently. 

Tipperary Roads Policing also found a taxi parked in a disabled parking bay in Thurles earlier this week with no permit.

As part of #OperationEnable the driver was issued a €150 fine.

"Please leave disabled parking bays free for permit holders," is the message from gardaí.
