CR Payroll Solutions, the Kilkenny-based fintech company, announced the creation of 40 new jobs over the next 18 months
CR Payroll Solutions, the Kilkenny-based fintech company, announced the creation of 40 new jobs over the next 18 months.
The announcement was made as Minister of State for Financial Services Jennifer Carroll MacNeill visited the company to be briefed on their ambitious expansion plans.
Founded in 2018 CR Payroll Solutions provides emergency payroll cover to an expanding range of clients including Ford, Stryker, Rehab, and JD Sports. The company was recently awarded 7th place in the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 Awards, one of Ireland’s foremost technology award programmes.
“There are exciting times ahead for Mairead Coughlan and her talented team at CR Payroll Solutions as they continue with their exciting expansion plans. The Kilkenny based company, who plan to employ 40 additional people locally, has a well-earned reputation for service and delivery for their customers," Minister of State Carroll MacNeill.
"It’s great that CR Payroll Solutions are focused on growing business in the UK market and the new roles being created will back that ambition. They are part of a growing number of innovative fintech companies located in the South East and it is very positive to see this growing sector creating good quality jobs across the region.”
CR Payroll Solutions founder and CEO, Mairead Coughlan, said: “Innovation and quality customer service are vital to the success of any fintech company. Since we were founded in 2018 we have worked hard to earn the trust of our expanding customer base.
"With that solid foundation laid we are now looking at scaling our presence, especially in the UK market. That will see CR Payroll Solutions recruit another 40 staff over the next 18 months. The roles will be in key areas such as management, marketing, sales, and payroll delivery, and consultation and recruitment are already under way.
“It’s a really exciting time for the company and we are proud to be building an international brand, based here in Kilkenny.”
The company's ambitious expansion plans are backed by Enterprise Ireland, whose CEO, Leo Clancy said: “CR Payroll Solutions is a great company, with really strong growth plans that we are delighted to support. Our recent 2022 export results revealed that Irish fintech companies backed by Enterprise Ireland increased their exports by 14% last year, to a total of €2.4bn. It’s a sector with enormous potential and in particular, the South East region is earning a growing reputation as a hub for these innovative companies and Enterprise Ireland will continue to support this growth.”
