Hon the Cats! Aldi’s Kilkenny suppliers have received top honours at this year’s Great Taste Awards with Glanbia Consumer Foods winning two 1-star accolades.
Aldi is thrilled to announce that it has once again triumphed at this year’s Great Taste Awards, including a 3 star award for its Specially Selected 14 Days Matured Wicklow Leg of Lamb, a 2 star award for its Specially Selected Gourmet Irish Black Angus 6oz Beef Burgers with Irish Atlantic Sea Salt and a 1 star award for its Specially Selected Extra Buttery Toffee Popcorn.
Kilkenny-made soups have also been awarded stars! The Tasty Tomato & Red Pepper Soup as well as the Specially Selected Rustic Mushroom Soup were honoured by the Great Taste judges.
Results were announced yesterday (August 1st) with dozens of popular Aldi products being cited for their exceptional taste and quality.
John Curtin, Group Buying Director at Aldi Ireland said: “To have so many of our products and suppliers recognised at one of the industry’s most respected awards is incredibly gratifying, both for ourselves and our incredible suppliers. We are committed to offering delicious, high-quality produce at everyday affordable prices to our customers.
