Ignacio Peregrina, Smithwick’s Experience Kilkenny Manager
Kilkenny is set to bask in the sunshine with 20 degrees and more forecast this Bruce Springsteen weekend, so there’s no better place to soak up the rays and feast on the best of street food and live music than the Barrel Yard at Smithwick’s Experience Kilkenny.
The open, enclosed entertainment venue is the perfect place to be this Bruce Springsteen Weekend in the heart of medieval Kilkenny as the Barrel Yard Sessions continue throughout the weekend and every single weekend from now until the end of September.
On Friday, the full bar is open, also serving low and non-alcoholic drinks. On Saturday there is live music from Savage Jim Breen from 5-7pm. Mexican street food is available to buy from Chingon Burritos in the food truck on site.
On Sunday, the Barrel Yard at Smithwick’s Experience Kilkenny hosts live music from Crossroads from 2-4pm and Mexican street food will also be cooked and available to buy on site from Chingon Burritos in the Food Truck.
This mouth-watering food on offer is specifically chosen to pair perfectly with Smithwick’s ales, Ignacio Peregrina, Smithwick’s Experience Kilkenny Manager, said. “We’re really looking forward to another great weekend of fantastic live music and fabulous food. It’s going to be a very special weekend in Kilkenny and thankfully the weather forecast is good.
“Our tours will also run throughout the weekend and we’re looking forward to a bumper weekend. We’re only a few minutes’ walk from Nowlan Park so there’s nowhere better to get into the concert spirit than with us throughout the weekend.”
