Local Enterprise Office Kilkenny launches new autumn training and events programme

Schedule is designed to support small businesses owners and entrepreneurs

Cathaoirleach Michael McCarthy and Mayor Andrew McGuinness officially launch the LEO Kilkenny Autumn Training and Events Programme 2024 alongside trainers and LEO Kilkenny staff

A new autumn training and events programme aimed to empower small businesses in Kilkenny has been announced by the Local Enterprise Office Kilkenny.

The Local Enterprise Office Kilkenny has launched their online and in-person training and events programme for autumn 2024. This programme schedule provides potential new entrepreneurs and small business currently operating in the County the opportunity to develop new skills and adapt to the ever-changing economic environment. The Local Enterprise Office will continue to deliver virtual and in-person programmes for the upcoming season.

Cathaoirleach of Kilkenny County Council Michael McCarthy has expressed his excitement about the programme.

"The training sessions offered by the Local Enterprise Office are designed to empower entrepreneurs with practical skills and knowledge, enabling them to tackle challenges, seize opportunities, and achieve their business goals. Investing in the growth and development of our small businesses is crucial for the success of our local economy," he said.

The courses on offer range from Start Your Own Business Programmes, Management Development Series, Instagram for Business and some exciting new clinics in areas such as Social Media, Financial, Business Advisory, Digital Marketing and many more. Additionally, educational networking events such as Succession Exit Strategy Summit, National Women’s Enterprise Day and Foodpreneurs which will take place in the coming months.

Mayor of Kilkenny Andrew McGuinness said that small business owners have a range of different priorities and needs.

"Kilkenny County Council is committed to providing supports to local businesses through the Local Enterprise Office and is conscious that for a business to succeed, it is essential to support them by enhancing their skills, competencies and knowledge," he said.

"The launch of the autumn training and events schedule is designed to support small businesses owners and entrepreneurs based in County Kilkenny."

 Aileen McGrath, Acting Head of Enterprise, Local Enterprise Office Kilkenny, says the Local Enterprise Office Kilkenny endeavours to support the small business to start-up and grow.

With hundreds of Kilkenny businesses availing of the Local Enterprise Office Kilkenny mentoring and training supports this year to date, there is something for all small businesses no matter what stage of their business journey they are at.
