Outgoing National President of Network Ireland, Linda Codoul has identified the organisation’s new virtual branch among the proudest achievements of her year at the helm of the networking group for women in business. The online chapter, which was launched in November, has already welcomed new members from France and Germany, offering a link to home for Irish ex-pats while also broadening the opportunities to connect for members across Ireland.
In addition, Ms Codoul highlighted the novel collaborations that allowed Network Ireland to enhance the business supports it offered to its members. These included partnerships with the Research and Innovation Hub at Griffith College - through which members were offered real-world design and branding solutions from students of the school’s BA in Graphic Communication Design - and Virgin Media Television, which featured all of the category winners at the National Businesswoman of the Year Awards on its morning show, Ireland AM.
Reflecting on her year as Network Ireland National President, Linda Codoul said: “At the start of my presidency, I committed to offering more opportunities for growth through collaboration with other organisations nationally and internationally. I hope that our members feel the benefit of those efforts, and that they’ve gone a step ahead in their careers because of their involvement with Network Ireland this year. It’s been a privilege to serve such an incredible group of women and I know they will be in safe hands with incoming president, Amy O’Sullivan. I would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge the contribution of all our corporate sponsors, especially our official partner AIB, and to thank them for their ongoing support, which is so crucial to our organisation - without it, we wouldn’t be here.”
Ciara Ryan, Head of Wealth and General Insurance AIB, said: “Throughout this year, Linda has been a wonderful ambassador not just for Network Ireland but also for women in business. The innovations she spearheaded are already bearing fruit and she has left the incoming president a sound foundation to build on. I would like to wish Linda all the very best as she leaves office, and I look forward to working with new president, Amy O’Sullivan in the new year.”
