A popular shop on High Street in Kilkenny City is temporarily closed from today (Wednesday) to facilitate renovation works.
Oxfam Kilkenny, a well-known city charity shop, have posted the following notice on the premises: "Sorry, we are closed for a refit! For updates follow @OxfamKilkenny. See you in a few weeks!"
On their social media, the shop stated: "Please note that our Kilkenny store will be closed for refurbishment starting March 26. We are making improvements to enhance your shopping experience.

"In the meantime, we invite you to visit our other locations in Portlaoise, Waterford, Wexford and Tullamore. Donations are also welcome at these stores.
"Thank you for your understanding. We look forward to welcoming you back soon."
The shop are also asking people not to leave donations while they are closed.
"Thank you for thinking of us though," staff said. "In the meantime, Vision Ireland is up the road, Cancer Research down the road, and Samaritans around the corner. See you soon."
