LATEST: Kilkenny fashion retailer announces date they are closing down

Sally West on Kieran Street in Kilkenny City have confirmed that they are closing down on December 24.

The shop has been a firm favourite with both local shoppers and visitors to Kilkenny. The city centre store stocks a wide range of leading fashion brands.

A sign was erected in March announcing it is closing down and a closing down sale as a result leaving many shoppers in the locality disappointed.

At the time, a shop spokesperson told Kilkenny Live that they were 'just playing it week by week'.

Now the retailer has confirmed that its last day of trading will be Christmas Eve.

The announcement comes amid a flurry of retail closures in Kilkenny City in recent times, the most notable perhaps being nearby Rossiter's on the Butter Slip.

Also recently announcing their upcoming closure, on the same street, was Breda's Gift Shop.
