It was brilliant night for Kilkenny as two pubs we’re recognised for their excellence in the Bar Of The Year Awards

Kilkenny had a successful evening at this years Bar Of The Year Awards, with two pubs being recognised for their excellence.

The awards, that celebrate Ireland’s finest hospitality took place in the Clayton Hotel in Dublin, with a record breaking 1,000 national entries.

McSorley’s, located on 61 John Street Upper, won the silver award in the ‘Best Newcomer’ category.

This is a huge success for the pub that only recently opened its doors, last February.

The team took to Instagram to share their success, showing their gratitude for their customers.

“This one is for every single one of you who has walked through our doors, had a drink with us, danced the night away and supported us since day one. We genuinely couldn’t have done it without you!”

The Left Bank, located in the centre of Kilkenny city, took home the bronze award in the ‘City Bar Of The Year” category.

This isn’t the first time Left Bank has been successful in this category, with the bar taking home the gold award in 2023.
