Three dangerous junctions in south Kilkenny are to be improved under Low Cost Safety Scheme funding.
Works are to take place in Kells, Stoneyford and in Callan.

Under the Callan Thomastown Municipal District roadworks budget, this year, €65,000 has been allocated.
In Callan, works will be carried out at the Clonmel Road/ LS5136 junction (at Callan Dental), to slow traffic and improve sight-lines to help vehicles exiting the junction onto the Clonmel Road.

Improvement works will be done at the R697 Kells Village junction, and in Stoneyford at the junction with LP4202 on the Norelands Road near the school.

District Chairman, Councillor Matt Doran, thanked Area Engineer Declan Murphy for his consultation and expertise in drawing up the list of works.
