Kilkenny roadworks set to be ready for Christmas

Road works are continuing on Lower Bridge Street with contractors hoping to have works completed by Christmas.

New traffic calming pathways have been put in place and ramps and pedestrian crossings are being installed opposite Coláiste Abhainn Rí.

Two new plaza type areas have been constructed to create a new junction at John Butler's premises. These will be spanned by pedestrian ramps.

The street will become one way permanently and will help in reducing traffic on the street, making it safer for students attending Coláiste Abhainn Rí.
