Oscar-nominated An Cailín Ciúin has a Castlecomer connection!

John Brennan

An Cailín Ciúin – The Quiet Girl, which has become the first Irish language feature film to be nominated for an Oscar, is very much in the news this week and it has a Castlecomer connection.

John Brennan, Oak Hill was the sound engineer on the film. John is a son of Betty and the late Seamus Brennan, Ardra, Bungalow.

It's a marvellous honour. The film has been nominated for an Oscar in the International Feature Film category.
