Loreto students delivering hampers to St Vincent de Paul
Students from the Loreto Secondary School delivered a large number of food hampers to St Vincent de Paul, Butts Green in Kilkenny this Christmas.
This is an annual event that has taken place for many years. St Canice’s President Phil Hickey said the organisation appreciated the generosity. “We deeply appreciate the ongoing support of the students, teachers and parents of Loreto in doing all of the hard work each year of making food hampers available to the Society. We can only do our work due to the generosity of so many. The Loreto have been huge supporters over the years, which is so much appreciated.”
December is always a busy time for the Society with many additional requests and needs, however the Society support people in need throughout the year, not just at Christmas time. The Society thanks especially the students and teachers who organised the hamper appeal within the school. Involved on the day were students: Emer O’Neill, Aoibheann Deegan, Aoife Fitzgerald, Aoibheann McCormac, Keelin Cullen, Aoife Foley and Abby McCallum
