The Kilkenny Great War Memorial Committee will hold their final event of the year on Sunday, December 8 at 7pm at the memorial in the Peace Park.
Amongst the activities, there will be a talk about the logistics and other factors that allowed food to be brought up to the front line.

Meanwhile, there will be an actual authentic experience of eating a trench stew as well as rations which soldiers were given to survive in no man's land. The committee will also plan to recreate the Christmas Truce of 1914, with a football, reenactors in different uniforms and complete with small Christmas trees lit up.
