The Christmas lights will shine brightly in Tinryland, Co Carlow in aid of the Carlow-Kilkenny Homecare Team, a service many Kilkenny people have benefitted from.
The local service provides home comfort support to those under the care of the Carlow-Kilkenny nursing team operating from Aut Even Hospital.
"Let's show them what this little town can do, lets dig deep and show them our support," a spokesperson for the town's Christmas lights committee said.

"Just like our charities from previous years, Carlow-Kilkenny Homecare are a charity that nobody ever wants to use. Unfortunately it is a local service that is needed more and more as the months go on," they added.
"We hope none of us ever need their services but sadly a lot will and they'll be there to help in your families time of need."
