As part of Market Cross Magical Winter Wonderland, Market Cross has teamed up with Iris Florists and have purchased 35 of these beautiful two-foot trees and are selling them for €40 with all proceeds going to Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Diabetes Ward, Crumlin.

The centre is urging everyone to support this worthy cause, as funding has been very low since Covid-19.

“This is a charity close to my heart as I am a T1D myself and even though I didn’t get it ‘til in my twenties, my heart goes out to children with early diagnosis, complications and treatment and how hard it must be for them to understand such a complex illness and for their parents who constantly have the worry of keeping their children’s sugar levels right to avoid complications,’’ said Lesley Cleere, Centre Manager.

“This money will go towards research and new innovative technology.’’

Sunny from Iris Florist said: “It is an important time of year to give back to the community and in particular sick children, we are delighted to work with Market Cross on this new initiative.”

All trees can be purchased via Santa’s Grotto upstairs in Market Cross.
