Gardaí carrying out a search at the Linear Park following the attack
Gardaí investigating a serious attack on a man at the Linear Park in Kilkenny City on Sunday evening have issued a description of the suspect.
The injured male, in his late forties, sustained injuries to his face, lower arm and hand during the assault and was taken to St Luke’s Hospital following the incident at around 6pm.
The suspect was wearing a black puffy jacket, grey tracksuit bottoms and white runners and had his hood up and wore a scarf/snood over his face. He fled in the direction of the Skate Park/Green Street along the river walk.
