Gardaí in Kilkenny arrested and charged two people over the weekend following a substantial cannabis seizure.
While operating a checkpoint in North Kilkenny over the weekend, gardaí seized over 2kg in suspected cannabis.
The male driver and passenger drove away from the checkpoint and crashed and overturned the vehicle a short time later on the Ballyragget to Freshford Road.
"Kilkenny gardaí were weeding out trouble at a checkpoint in North Kilkenny over the weekend and seized over 2kg in suspected cannabis,” a garda spokesperson said.
