Gardaí are appealing to the public for assistance in solving a burglary which took place at a residential premises in Ballyragget earlier this month.
The burglary took place at a house on Grove Terrace at approximately 8.30pm on November 7 when the homeowner heard a loud bang but initially didn’t think much of it.
Some time later, at 9pm the doorbell rang and the homeowner saw three males in the front yard who then ran towards the Kilkenny Road. They were observed being picked up in a dark, possibly navy coloured, estate type vehicle. This vehicle was being driven by a fourth male.
This vehicle initially headed in the direction of Kilkenny but a couple of minutes later turned and came back towards the Square in Ballyragget.
The culprits had entered the garage but doesn’t appear as if they took anything and they did not access the house itself.
Gardaí in Castlecomer are investigating this incident and are appealing for any information that might aid them in their investigation to contact them on (056) 4440650.
